Daisy joins Netball Super League

A student from Winstanley College has been selected for Netball Super League Team, Leeds Rhinos. Daisy Dixon, a former Standish High School student, has been chosen for their U19 NPL squad. This squad trains twice a week in Leeds and Daisy will be playing all over the country against other Super League Teams. This is all alongside studying for her A-levels in Maths, Chemistry and PE.

Daisy is also Vice Captain of the college’s netball team which has also seen great success, winning 3 out of 3 games so far.

Sarah Gough, Netball Coach, at Winstanley College commented: ‘To be selected for Leeds Rhinos is a huge achievement and testament to Daisy's talent, and work ethic. I know Daisy will go from strength to strength and has a very bright future in front of her.’
