Winstanley College has officially committed to becoming a Disability Confident employer, aiming to enhance inclusivity and support for disabled individuals within its workforce. By joining the Disability Confident scheme, the College seeks to attract, recruit, retain and develop disabled talent, ensuring equal opportunities for all.
The Disability Confident scheme, developed by the Department for Work and Pensions, provides employers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to create a more inclusive workplace. It offers tools, guidance and advice to help organisations recruit and retain from the widest possible pool of talent, thereby harnessing valuable skills and experience.
Upon registration, Winstanley College received the Disability Confident Committed certificate valid until 2 February 2028. These credentials signify the College's dedication to fostering a supportive environment for disabled employees.
