BackFor this week’s Throwback Thursday, we are not going too far back. Former student Sienna Fallows left us in summer, but we could not miss this opportunity to share her exciting news as new World Kickboxing Champion!
Former Winstanley College Student Crowed World Champion Kickboxer
Former Winstanley student, Sienna Fallows, has claimed her third world championship title at the WKC - World Kickboxing Championships - in Portugal. Sienna, a former Deyes High pupil, who left Winstanley last year, has shown remarkable dedication and resilience, securing her place as a top competitor on the global kickboxing stage.
During her time at Winstanley, Sienna balanced the demands of her rigorous training with her studies in Business, PE and Health Studies. Since leaving, Sienna has continued to excel, taking her talents to new heights and representing her country whilst getting ready to start an apprenticeship in joinery.
Anne Baxby, Head of PE, commented: ‘It was wonderful to hear the news that Sienna is third time world champion in her sport. Sienna was always a hardworking student, and it is no surprise she is continuing to go form strength to strength. We can’t wait to see where the future takes her, and we are so glad to have her as part of our alumni network.’
